In November, the air turns chilly and grey. Most of us dream of evenings by the fire with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa.
November marks something else for us here at the Home. It marks the end of the outing season.
Aside from the occasional doctor's visit, most of the residents don't venture out into the cold.
That doesn't mean the fun stops! We have fireside chats, parties, special entertainment, delicious meals and cooking activities all winter long.
Still, sometimes we miss the outings and long for spring to come.
But winter is a season for hibernating, for resting up and regaining strength.
I know it's not winter yet, but let me be the first to wish you all a happy hibernation with a fireplace and lots of cocoa and books.
