Giving the Gift of Clothing?

November 5, 2018

Christmas is coming up!

With the approaching holiday, many of you are probably thinking over gift ideas for your loved one in the Home. Our thoughts tend to gravitate toward necessities like hairbrushes, deodorant, and new clothes. I won't discourage you from those things if that's what you feel your loved one would appreciate.

However, I do want to make sure you know the requirements for clothing. If you give your loved one any clothing, please be sure that their name is written somewhere on it (usually on the tag). It just makes sense that when you're doing laundry for over fifty people, some things could easily get mixed around. We want your loved one to be able to find the outfit in his/her closet and it's very helpful to have the tag to help us do that.

Also, if you bring in any clothes, please bring them to your hall's nurse's station to be put on their personal inventory. We have this other method to help us be doubly sure that we return the right clothes to the proper resident.
